Halloweenukkah Day 8: Superboy

"You will believe a boy can fly."

So this costume might not be as much as a surprise as the others,
(for those of you that saw the Halloweenukkah announcement anyway),
but this one seems to be the most fitting. We initially weren't going
to save this one for the end, but after we got a look at how awesome
those flying photos were, we thought we had to save them for last!
It's been an awesome week of costumes.

Thanks to everyone for following
along and posting comments. Logan took his longest nap ever today (we think
Halloweenukkah has worn him out). Off to spread smiles & trick or treat!
Happy Halloween!

Halloweenukkah Day 7: Pumpkin

Alright, so we couldn't resist Logan as the
classic "pumpkin" for his first Halloween.
Again, the beauty of Halloweenukkah is being
able to do something cliché like this and
yet still have other costumes too. I'm glad
I didn't let Jerred talk me out of this one.
I'll probably look at these photos when Logan
is older and cry over how adorable he was as
a little pumpkin. For this shoot, we took him
to Village Pointe for their Great Pumpkin Festival.
He loved seeing all the other kids and chilling
with the pumpkins. Hard to believe Halloween is
tomorrow! Only one costume left!

Side note to last photo: We stopped by my parents'
house this afternoon and I noticed a little notepad
on my dad's coffee table where he had adoringly
written each of Logan's costumes so far. Notice the
3rd one is listed as "Robin Hood". Even after we
explained Logan was a video game character named Link,
my dad still insisted Logan was really Robin Hood.
Pretty cute no matter how you look at it.

Halloweenukkah Day 6: Wolverine

Okay, so this was our first idea when we thought
about costumes for Logan's 1st Halloween. This
one was tricky. We had to get creative with the
photos and this was the only costume so far
that required 2 photo shoots. Our little guy
doesn't have much hair to work with but we did
our best. For the 1st shoot, we tried attaching
those foam claws to his wrists, but that just
didn't work. So my brother had the idea of
sewing them into the inside cuffs of the jacket
for the 2nd shoot, which was a great idea & worked
beautifully. And now Logan has a sweet leather
jacket for the winter and, I'm not sure, but I may
even keep those claws attached. :)

Halloweenukkah Day 5: Garden Gnome

We had actually scrapped the idea of doing this one because
we didn't think Logan would wear the beard, but our friend,
Rhonda, decided to make the hat & beard anyway because
the idea was too awesome (& when we saw it, we agreed).
Logan was too focused on climbing into the pond to care about
ripping the hat & beard off, but, don't worry, no one was harmed
in the process of taking pics. Lovely garden backdrop courtesy
of Rhonda's garden (we snuck back there while Rhonda was at
work, so I can just imagine what her neighbors were thinking!).
And yes, some gnomes have binkies.

Halloweenukkah Day 4: Monkey

So this was the first costume we actually
bought for Logan. It was super cute &
we thought it would be something he would
actually keep on (and not immediately rip
off like the Ewok hood!). It was also one
of the reasons we came up w/ the idea of
Halloweenukkah and having several costumes ~
we wanted him to be a cute monkey, but we
also wanted to do something a little more
creative too (like the Link costume).
Definitely a winner, I'd say. Lil dude had
a great time as usual and seemed pretty
content being a monkey for the afternoon.
